Growth Mindset Week 6: Learning from Others

Growth Mindset Padlet

“Rain doesn’t always have to weigh us down. Sometimes it can wash off our burdens.” I love this quote. I like how the “Rain doesn’t always have to weight us down …” is in bigger writing. I would be okay if it ended there. Just that part of the quote means so much. The person who wrote it said that it was dorky, but I feel like it is deep. It could mean something different people. If this is kept in mind, every day could be a new adventure.

·          “Trying Something New.”- I cannot agree with this post more. I have always wanted to learn new skills, even if I cannot use them to further my career or benefit anything. I want to learn hobbies that make me happy. Mental Health is VERY IMPORTANT.

  1. I'm glad that you like my quote! I kind of came up with it on the fly... doing homework late in the evening can make one pretty inspirational. I'm also with you that issues of mental health and providing resources for those with mental health complications is vitally important, especially on college campuses, where it feels like these issues are especially prominent, yet ignored.

It really shows that they love what they do and I cannot be more appreciative. I am ready to give this class my full attention. Too Tired to Function

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

I think that the feedback could be more constructive. I find that the comments that let me know if there is confusion or anything in the story help me the most. I believe that I am helping when it comes to grammar, but the content aspect could use improvement. I realize just how immense the possibilities can be when it comes to writing our weekly stories. I do not feel like I am getting to know people because I usually do not connect with people over the internet. I have to see and talk to people physically in order to feel like I have any sense of who they are. I am happy with my introduction post. I believe that I could look up more feedback strategies in order to benefit others and myself. I chose this particular graphic because it clearly states the adjectives that should describe your feedback style. It is concise and I like the colors. I think that it helps more than the others because it does not have as much writing. 21 Components of Effective Feedback
