Extra Reading Notes: Russian Fairy Tales Part A

I really enjoyed reading these. The Dead Mother took a turn that I did not expect. I am sad that I did not read these sooner to write a story about it, but that's what procrastination and finals look like right now. The Dead Mother was creepy and awesome. I could have made that Dude's wife in my story. I did not expect the ending even with the title. I am not sure what I expected.

The Treasure story surprised me. The pope was very greedy and rude. I couldn't believe that he wouldn't help an old man bury his old woman. I did not expect the goatskin to cling to the priest because of his greediness. I enjoyed the story though.

All the Assignments...

I am intrigued by the stories we get to write about. I love reading stories from different parts of the world. I am very excited for the extra credit and I know making time for the extra credit is difficult, but worth it. I love when a professor takes the time to set up their class in such a unique way. It really shows that they love what they do and I cannot be more appreciative. I am ready to give this class my full attention. Too Tired to Function

Week 8 Reading and Writing

I think that the Laos stories were my favorite. All of the stories involved animals or people and taught you lessons. Each short story made an impact on the reader. I also believe that I could try harder when it comes to the stories and reading notes. I could try different reading and writing strategies. I have not done creative writing other than for this class in a very long time. Business writing has been at the forefront of my mind. Short, sweet, and to the point has been my strategy. Because there are so many choices and venues I could take with my writing, it can make it difficult to start each story. Starting is the hardest part. Reading and Writing
