Reading Notes Part B: British North America unit

Myths and Legends of British North America by Katharine Berry Judson (1917) Read Here

How the Earth was Formed
I did not find another story in part b that I would want to recreate. I think that I will stick with part a and the contents there. While reading these stories, I thought to myself if people actually believed in them or if they were just children's stories that are meant to be silly. I know that people believe different things and stories that seem crazy to some, are completely normal to others. I am going to have trouble going along with my theme in my portfolio. I am trying to write ridiculous stories on top of the craziness of the original. These stories have a lot of animals that have supernatural powers or that climb into other skins to become that being. I will figure it out.

Back up and Review

Reality This week has been tough for me with work and my school load. I am working on managing my time more effectively. I am going to get caught up with everything soon. I have group projects in all my classes except this one. It can just be challenging to find the time. My favorite graphic is the girl running away from the ghost with “reality” written on it. I would say that the most interesting thing about my major is that I get to study people and their behaviors. I have always been somewhat of a people watcher, not in a creepy way, but just fascinated by interactions some people have. I have learned quite a bit about people by doing it. I would have to say that this class last semester was my favorite. I did not get to finish due to a close family member passing away, but I enjoyed what I was able to do. I worked the majority of my break at O’Connell’s, where I still work now, so I did not get to do much over the break. IZombie, Supernatural, Dexter, The Punisher, and This is Us are just a few of my favorite TV shows. Sleeping with Other People is the best movie I have seen recently. I would not judge the movie by its name. It is actually roman...
